The Church of Scotland Year Book is an essential handbook and directory on which many ministers, elders and lay leaders rely for information of all kinds. Including contact information for every minister, it also lists contact details for all church offices - local and central, the clerks, and general personnel.
Many users claim not to be able to manage without it. In addition it provides the most up to date figures for church membership, numbers of communicants, parish income and key updates from the General Assembly.
This compendium of vital information includes every key contact within the Church and pointers to further information as well as information on procedures and protocols.
Careful updates are made throughout to the many useful statistics and there is an extensive index. 2018 is another very important year at the General Assembly and the Year Book will reflect all of the decisions made.
REV DR DOUGLAS GALBRAITH uses his great wealth of experience and knowledge to pull together all of the key information about the Church into one invaluable resource. A retired minister with a particular interest in liturgy and worship, he is a contributor to Starters for Sunday, the Church of Scotland's online worship resource.
`I have always found the Year Book to be a trusty companion and an invaluable assistance in ministry.' -- The Rt Revd Alan D. McDonald
Very interesting information
The book was a exactly what I needed.
Wanted the latest edition since I no longer receive this as part of my work.
An annual reference book, essential to practicing ministers of the Church of Scotland. Indispensible and this year's edition is as good as ever.
I can see lots of errors in the book, Lots of typographical errors.
Excellent! But do think before asking this question - the book is for next year - I cannot possibly have used it much yet!
it was as described and very helpful
Well, it was the latest in a series of yearbooks, so it was as I expected! Handsomely produced and very informative as always..
