RT @churchscotlandGreat @ChurchTimes review of Very Rev Finlay Macdonald's book From Reform to Renewal @standrewpress https://t.co/vh7DRCXYxC
Author(s): Pray Now Group
'May God throw blessings like pebbles in our way that we might walk upon them, gather them up and carry them with us wherever we go.'
Based on the Church of Scotland's Heart & Soul theme, these fresh, beautifully crafted prayers, meditations, blessings and prayer activities help you to deepen your relationship with God, allowing time to think and space to listen. They prompt action and movement when the words just don't seem enough.
At the 2015 General Assembly, for the first time, the Church of Scotland will adopt a theme for all parts of the Church for the next 12 months. Each year brings a new theme and the first of these is Living Stones - for example, stepping stones to heaven, the rock upon which the Church is built, the stone from the entrance to the tomb, tablets.
Written for an ecumenical readership and to be used over any 12-month period, this book is an invaluable and inspirational resource for personal and group use.
THE PRAY NOW GROUP is a team who care deeply about the role of prayer in our lives. Drawn from an ecumenically minded Church of Scotland group, their work is written for a wide, diverse and international readership,
Good for supporting prayer
Very useful and as a CofS resource to be welcomed over other generally available material.
Made a standing order for every year. I have obtained Pray Now for every year since I came to Canada. Vancouver BC. 1961. My contact person in Scotland is no longer available. Therefore I am depending on Direct contact with St Andrews Press. From now on . Each Year. Last year and this year were Best Ever editions of Pray Now. Tell the Team of writers, Keep up the good work.
I knew what to expect with this product and was not disappointed.
Am finding this very useful.
Very helpful resources. Like the weekly format and monthly prayer exercises.
